ScotAsh was established in 1999 and is a joint venture between ScottishPower and Lafarge Cement UK. Over the past 12 years ScotAsh has firmly established itself as the UK's leading manufacturer of environmentally friendly cements, grouts, concrete enhancers and waste stabilisation products.
ScotAsh has won many awards which is testimony to what can happen when 2 internationally based companies pool their resources and expertise to develop sustainable materials from the by-products of coal fired power generation. Indeed, the ScotAsh model has played a key role in discussions with other power plant operators in other parts of the world. The use of electrostatic fly ash beneficiation technology was the first example outside of the United States and this has allowed for the development of a number of cementitious markets based on low carbon fly ash.
The Concrete Technology Unit (CTU) was established in 1989 and has grown into a world class research Centre of Excellence. Dundee has state-of-the-art research facilities covering chemical and physical analysis of materials and their properties in relation to potential market applications.
Dundee has developed special expertise in concrete design and durability including the impact of additions such as Slag and Fly Ash.
Separation Technologies LLC (ST), a Titan Cement Group subsidiary based in the USA, manufactures, installs and operates fly ash carbon separation and processing units. Fly ash containing unburned carbon generated from burning coal in power plants is beneficiated to produce a high quality consistent low carbon product for use as a pozzolan in cement and concrete.
There are already 20 ST fly ash separator units in operation in the USA, Canada, the UK and Poland. STs proprietary technology is also applied for ammonia removal from fly ash together with the beneficiation of industrial minerals including calcium carbonates, talc and potash.
Clyde Bergemann Europe provides world leading materials handling and pollution control solutions for Power and Heavy Industries such as Cement and Metals. Clyde Bergemann focus on being a "Total Solutions Provider", offering experience, process knowledge and most importantly flexibility to individual clients needs on a Global Turn-Key basis. The Interbulk provides door to door intermodal logistic services for liquids and dry bulk solid. The focus is on the global chemical, polymer, minerals, cementitious and food industry.
Products and services include intermodal transport (road, rail, sea, river) with tank containers, isoveyors and bag-in-the-box concept. Interbulk is the biggest producer of bags/liners used in containers for dry bulk.
Established in 1986, Jaycee is a leading player in the Fly Ash industry in India with a fully integrated supply chain encompassing direct, long-term sourcing arrangements with multiple thermal power plants, quality control processes, independent all-season packing facilities (big bags and small bags), strong logistical capabilities and advance technology for order management as well as shipment tracking.
