Bulk Cementitious Materials (BMI) is part of the Lafarge Group of companies and specialises in the supply of cementitious materials to the cement and construction industries. Products include:-

• Blast Furnace Slag
• Coal Fired Power Station by-products: Fly Ash, Bottom Ash, Gypsum
• Silica Fume
• Copper Slag

BMI is based in Europe and has regional offices in the Middle East, Asia, China and the USA.
BMI has full access to the Lafarge Group of businesses operating in 64 countries, including the technical centres and logistics networks which encompasses terminals and shipping. With regards to shipping, BMI can offer products in bulk, jumbo bags, 50kg and 25kg bags, Isoveyors and containers.

Lafarge Group consumption and sales to third parties of cementitous materials is currently in excess of 30 million tonnes per annum. This provides a strong base for BMI to develop technical and commercial partnerships with both customers and suppliers.

BMI also offers technical and marketing support to coal fired power stations and steel industries with regards to their by-products. In conjunction with Lafarge business units, BMI is also open to the development of long term partnerships and joint ventures. Examples include the ScotAsh joint venture with ScottishPower in Scotland, the CelticAsh partnership with RWE npower in Wales and other initiatives in Poland, Malaysia, Philippines and the USA.
